US-based Challenger Sports provide worldwide soccer camps and year-round training for boys and girls, and boast over 300 coaches supporting 200,000 participating players.
Challenger Sports are excited to be linking up with MiMentor and believe the digital-based online learning platform will help to deliver their coaching ethos across multiple US regions and countries to support the development of their coaches.
Challenger Sports CEO Paul Lawrence said:
We are thrilled to have partnered with MiMentor in what will be a year of great significance to Challenger Sports as we look to rebound from the global pandemic.
Our company has sought out partners who are willing and able to assist us in making technological advances in our coaching programs.
With MiMentor’s platform, we fully expect to be able to improve our virtual programs that will inspire and educate coaches across the globe.
The MiMentor Platform gives Challenger the opportunity to equip all of their coaches with top level training and coaching programs for their soccer camps across Northern America in 2021, with a move to a global reach in the future.
The partnership will see MiMentor white label their services for Challenger Sports, essentially tailoring the MiMentor Learning Platform and its branding to fit succinctly with Challenger Sports’ brand and aims, enabling them to host and share their own content internationally, manage their own webinars and forums and track usage and performance.
Developed by Enigma Digital and designed by their team of coaching, sports science and educational experts, the creators of MiMentor have worked with top industry brands, including Premier League club coaches, players and managers, to design a platform which transforms relationships between the learner and educator.
Not only is the platform visually striking and simple to use but also full of features to support and engage staff and create networking opportunities regardless of where in the world they log in from.
Webinars, discussion forums, accreditation functions all feature, whilst the integrated quiz functions will enable Challenger to check the knowledge of their coaches both before and after courses to evaluate progress.
These tools, alongside data insights and analytics of usage, will all be especially useful in the current Covid-19 climate, where in-person camps and on-field practical coaching sessions are challenging.
Sophie Dewar, Challenger Sports Regional Sales Director, added:
Just like many businesses, we had to adapt to survive in 2020. We did what we could to ensure we provided any and all means possible to support our youth soccer partners.
2021 provides an opportunity to not only adapt but to enhance how we recruit and train our hundreds of coaching staff.
MiMentor has provided a platform which allows us to take our development procedures and programs and deliver them in a more frugal yet more effective way.
I can’t wait to lead our 2021 recruits into a new generation of Challenger Sports through a truly engaging and user friendly learning platform.
Having unveiled former England and Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips as a Global Ambassador, as well as their partnership with United Soccer Coaches and Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club, this recent announcement further strengthens MiMentor’s reputation not just in America, but as a first-class sports education platform for expert practitioners and coaches worldwide.
James Baker, Director of MiMentor, says he is looking forward to working with Challenger Sports:
We are delighted to have Challenger Sports on board. They are one of the biggest soccer organisations in the US and we are really excited to be able to support such a forward thinking team as they evolve and enhance their coach and player education offer.
