The course led by experts Sarah McQuade and Linda Low, e.t.c coaching consultants, runs over eight weeks beginning 25th January 2023.

It comprises live and recorded webinars, online learning, forums, discussions, course assessment and a diploma certification endorsed by United Soccer Coaches.

This course will challenge learners to think about applying some of their learning in their environment, with coaches they work with.

Block 1
An Introduction to Mentoring Workshop
25th January 2023

This informational workshop will:
⚽️ Explore the importance of mentoring for soccer coach learning and development
⚽️ Establish the key skills of a mentor
⚽️ Provide an overview of the course structure and learning outcome
⚽️ Identify the commitments required from learners to complete the course

Block 2
Coach Profiling / Supported Practice in the Field Workshop
8th February 2023

This workshop will:
⚽️ Draw out key learning from Block 1
⚽️ Introduce the concept of Coach Profiling and Professional Development Planning
⚽️ Explore the process of how to provide supported practice for coaches in the field

Block 3
Reflection and Development Workshop
22nd February 2023

This workshop will:
⚽️ Explore learners’ experiences of building and maintaining mentoring relationships
⚽️ Identify success and challenges associated with profiling, planning and undertaking field-based support
⚽️ Help learners establish best practices associated with providing supported practice in the field

Each block will also include online modules. Successful completion of the course will lead to the achievement of a United Soccer Coaches Diploma.
