And the partnership is set to continue for another season, as MiMentor and Port Vale Foundation take their collaboration a step further by creating a digital community learning hub.
The relationship has already provided one of the Foundation’s key community programmes with a digital platform and content home’.
The ‘YES’ programme is a partnership of organisations led by Port Vale Foundation and Stoke on Trent City Council, which helps young people aged 16-24 who are unsure about employment and education.
The platform has provided a central digital asset for those involved in the programme, delivering an intuitive place for partners to share and access key information, communicate, and track engagement and progress.
Moving into the 2022/23 season, the Foundation will use the platform to aid further community and matchday projects as well as to create a digital content and education hub for staff, learners, fans, and participants.
MiMentor’s team of experts will be providing the Foundation with leading coach education content, which has been developed with prominent sports scientists, performance psychologists and elite coaches. They will also deliver their Wellbeing, Resilience and Mentoring CPD programmes, backed by academics and health scientists from leading UK institutions.
Reflecting on their decision to partner with MiMentor, Will Turner, Head of Business and Community Development, said that the Foundation wanted to modernise, streamline, and standardise CPD for staff, whilst creating a space to document, track and record progress.
“The MiMentor Platform has helped us to increase engagement, efficiency and connectivity, while also giving us a unique space for partners to link into our programmes,” said Will.
“The MiMentor team have been excellent, really supportive, and we are looking forward to extending the use of the platform and content throughout this season.”
Following a busy year where The Valiants were promoted to League One, Jennie Bowmer, Co-Founder of MiMentor, is delighted to extend the partnership with the Foundation.
“We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Will, Tom and the team at the Foundation and are delighted to play our part in helping them to support the local community.
“We are looking forward to rolling out further programmes this year, all with the aim of developing skills and making learning programmes and digital content more accessible, enjoyable and engaging for those in the community.”
Having recently launched in Australia with Football West, the sole governing body for football in Western Australia, as well as growing more partnerships with UK and USA clubs, MiMentor is fast becoming the go-to digital platform and coach education partner for sports organisations.
The Platform is perfect for those wanting to accelerate their staff development and community education offering, whilst making custom use of one of the leading digital platforms on the market.
