UEFA Pro Coach Ben Garner unveiled as new MiMentor Global Coaching Mentor

Digital online training provider MiMentor have announced UEFA Pro Licence Coach Ben Garner as their new Global Coaching Mentor.

The unique coaching and training platform for the sports sector enables individuals and organisations to access sports-related education programmes from expert practitioners and coaches like Ben from anywhere in the world and on any device.

Ben is a world-renowned coach who has been successful at both Academy and First Team levels. He has a proven track record in developing elite young players. During an eight-year spell in the Crystal Palace Academy he coached players including Wilfried Zaha & Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who have played over 900 matches at the highest levels and generated in excess of £100million in transfer fees.

Ben joins MiMentor at an exciting time, following the announcement of former England and Manchester City midfielder Shaun Wright-Phillips as global ambassador.

Ben will work with MiMentor to release a ground-breaking new course in early 2020 for coaches with the module, Decision Making in Soccer. Ben will also collaborate on the Coach’s Toolbox Series, providing the fundamental skills required to be a successful coach. This Toolbox Series will see courses such as Creating an Identity, The Importance of Emotional Intelligence, Effective Planning, The Art of Effective Communication, plus much more.

The courses Ben is creating with MiMentor will give users never before seen insights, underpinning knowledge and practical sessions from a coach that has worked at the highest level. Ben has also worked across the world and can discuss cultures and the challenges faced from his time in both India and the USA.

Ben also has significant experience at First Team level with over 200 games as First Team Coach & Assistant Head Coach. During that period he has worked with full Internationals, FA Cup Winners, Premier League Winners, and a Champions League Winner. With Crystal Palace, he was promoted to the Premier League after winning the 2013 Championship Play-Off Final. Over the next 5 seasons he helped both Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion to achieve top 10 Premier League finishes. Ben also worked in the Indian Super League with ATK FC helping them to reach the semi finals of the Indian Super Cup in 2019.
